I want to thank everyone who has read my blog over the last twenty five days. Trying to reduce stress in my life led me to many of the quotes I have shared with you over the last couple of weeks. Believing in yourself is a very powerful tool and it’s something we all should do.
From my hearth to yours, I wish all of my readers a very Merry Christmas.
By making small changes you will improve your life. It will start slowly, but the momentum will build and soon you’ll be in a happier place than you once were. But you won’t get there unless you make a start.
A reminder to believe in yourself.
The aim of this Calendar has been to share some tips to help people cope at this demanding time. Tips to try in order to combat some of the stress this busy season brings. At times like this, we often feel like we need to run away from all of our responsibilities. We often dream of changing things in our lives, believing that such drastic changes will improve our lot and give us the life we so desperately seek. What we don’t realise is how small changes in the way we think will set us free, opening up new possibilities and setting us on the right track to a less stressful life.
Taking care of ourselves means eating the right food, getting the right exercise, having a healthy mind, but also taking care of our spiritual well-being too. Now, most people believe spirituality means going to church on a regular basis, and for some people that’s exactly what it does mean. For others it’s another religious practice, for others still it’s about meditating, or even being kind and helpful. Spirituality doesn’t have to be about religion. The word spirituality means “relating to or affecting the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things.” Being kind, performing random acts of kindness can actually be a spiritual practice. The point is, even in our 24/7 society we can still take care of ALL of our needs, on all levels.
All of this positivity is great, but it’s absolutely meaningless unless we make ourselves a priority. The advice we are given when we are about to fly anywhere, the piece of advice that tells us to put our own oxygen mask on first, that is a very simple, but powerful piece of advice. It’s telling us to take care of ourselves first, because if we don’t, we won’t be any use to anyone else. But by taking care of ourselves first and foremost, we ensure we are giving from a full cup.
I think this quote speaks for itself. It’s most certainly a valuable tool on your self love journey and something really very simple. Inner beauty shines outwards, making you a beautiful person both inside and out, always remember that.
I think the above quote really hits home just how important it is to be kind to ourselves. Our inner dialogue is often the most damaging conversation we ever have. Isn’t it about time we all changed that?
