Be a cheerleader.

Sometimes in life we can all become susceptible to the green eyed monster. Feeling jealous of something that someone else has done or achieved. Feeling spiteful towards them because they have something that we don’t. I’d like to say that it’s normal, maybe for a fleeting moment it is. But why do we do that? Why do we envy others?

This is a great time to sit with yourself and work on what triggered that emotional response in you. These triggers may have common denominators, but they are unique to each and every one of us. That’s why it’s not easy to say how you should proceed in your quest to enlightenment.

Working on what triggered the green eyed monster is a process we all have to go through ourselves. The jealousy comes from deep within us, it’s personal to us.

I get that this answer appears vague, but to work on your own flaws, triggers, flash points, call them what you will; to do this work you have to be willing for it to take as long as it takes. It’s not going to conform to 6 sessions with me and my services, although I do have a toolbox of methods to root out the pesky flash points. Working on yourself is unique. No two people will get the exact same process to work with.

Cheering on others can often be an uncomfortable action to begin with. We aren’t taught to cheer others on when they achieve success, or buy a new car, for example. We are taught to be in competition with our peers, and this causes mistrust and suspicion. But one small step can be the catalyst to a whole new viewpoint and it looses a the grip on that trigger inside of you.

Choose love. Choose to be the change you wish to see in the world. Be happy for other people and what brings them joy.
