I stumbled across this meme yesterday and it really resonated. I read it and re-read it several times and I kept thinking that this was a message I clearly needed to see.
Stress and how we react to stressful situations are obviously quite damaging to our health. The simplicity of the message, learn how to react without stressing out, is a lesson I needed to hear and learn at this time and it has shown up when I really needed to hear this.
For me Friday always feels light and happy, no matter what is going on in my life. My husband and I use this day to catch up on all the shows we’ve downloaded, it’s date night/day. We do go out for a meal when lockdown and COVID rules permit, but at the moment it’s very much a stay at home kind of thing.
Friday feels good.
Today, let that Friday vibe envelop you as you go about your day. Pick something fun to incorporate throughout your day. How many smiling babies can you see as you travel to and from work? How many red cars pass you as you are waiting for the bus?
Activities such as this help us to refocus our attention away from negative thoughts. They help us to stay calm when maybe we would be getting stressed, say for instance, if we missed our bus and had to wait twice as long to get home.
It’s Friday. The end of the working week for most of us. But even those who are working over the weekend, Friday can still have that special vibe about it, if we let it.
Don’t let the stresses of the day make you angry or stressed. Have a little fun when you’re out and about, it’ll bring a smile to your face and that’s always beneficial for our well-being.
