Wednesday Wisdom – 27/01/21 – looking ahead.

This card may look as though the message is just for females, but it’s not.

This card is a reminder that we are always in charge of our own bodies, no matter what gender we are.

You create the rules, you, and only you, get to decide who and what has access to your body.

Own your body. Nourish your body. Nurture your body. It doesn’t matter if this applies to people, objects, food… take back the control and assert yourself once more.

Wednesday Wisdom – 26/08/20

IMPOSTER SYNDROME.

This has been on my mind a lot lately. I’ve been doing a couple of collaborations with some folks, and yep, you’ve guessed it, I’ve questioned my ability and my right to be there.

I’m as qualified as everyone else, but I can’t shake that feeling of being a fraud. Everyone is telling me that I am welcome and worthy and wanted. It’s just my thoughts that are trying to catch me out.

It’s got to the point where I’m having panic attacks before I do my role and I’m feeling stressed out. So I’ve been working on my self esteem and making sure to do some breathing exercises beforehand.

As always, be kind and gentle with yourself if you are going through similar.

Wednesday Wisdom – 12/08/20

This card is telling us to forgive in order to heal. Sometimes we hold on to anger, whether that be directed towards a person or a situation, but we have to ask ourselves “where is this anger getting me?”

Old hurts can fester within us if we don’t forgive and let go of them. This in turn causes pain and we feel that old hurt over and over again. You become trapped in a prison of your own making, which is not what any of us really want.

It’s now time to cut those invisible cords that are binding you to the hurt. Free yourself from this persistent pain and allow healing to move you forward with your life.

This card is also saying do not get caught up in any unnecessary drama. It’s easy for us to do this, but right now we should be focusing on ourselves and not allowing the dramas from other people drag us down.

This isn’t a selfish act, this is soul love and self love. This kind of action is healthy and has our best interest at heart.

Forgive, let go, heal – let that be your mantra for the next few days.

Wednesday Wisdom.

Whether or not you believe in angels, this is a lovely card for today. The days before, on, and after the full moon can be tense and highly charged. This card is indicating we need to ground ourselves. Grounding yourself is something we should do regularly, but I find after highly emotive times grounding is a must.

There are many ways to ground yourself, you probably have a favourite way to do so. But for anyone not sure, here are some suggestions:

1. Concentrate on your breathing. Take some deep breaths and exhale fully.

2. Place your feet firmly on the floor/ground and imagine roots growing out of them. Imagine those roots burrowing down into the earth below you, holding you firmly in place. Take some deep, steadying breaths, exhale and feel yourself connected to the earth. Grounded.

3. Splash some cold water on your face.

4. Sip cold water.

5. Focus your attention on your surroundings, noticing where you are, who you are with – that’s if you’re not alone, what sounds you can hear, smells you can smell etc.

6. Clap and rub your hands together, paying attention to the noise and how it feels.

7. Do some stretches.

8. Stroke your pet.

9. Eat some food.

10. Listen to some music.
